Default door strap slipping off, need ideas for a fix

Here's the problem, I have some big friends ... well their just plain FAT and somehow they manage to knock the strap off the hook for the door. It happened twice already, the first time my fat friend (non jeeper) swung the door open so hard that of course I got my first dent (from the mirror) at a gas station and he even managed to chip the paint on the bottom of the door by hitting the fender. So last night i'm dropping off an even fatter friend that lives on a steep hill, i figured i'd be a nice guy and drive around the block so his house was on the passeger side but this ment i'd be facing downhill. Luckily I told him to hold on to the door cuz there's just a stap holding it on, sure enough his fattness knocked the strap off but luckily he held on to the door and didn't dent my dent.
Anyways, is this happening to anybody else? what did you do to fix it? I'm thinking about findind a rubber washer or gasket that will fit tight over the hook above the strap and be wide enough so that the strap wouldn't fit over it or maybe a strong clip to pinch the loop tight so it cann't come off as easy ... any other ideas?

My front doors have hooks that take me a minute or two to take off, when I am trying to. I don't know how they can just slip off.

How does the fact that these are "FAT" people have anything at all to do with them knocking the strap off the door? Maybe there's something wrong with your straps!

I'll get a pic but it looks just like the others, only the front passenger side comes off and only when somebody that's over there takes up alot of space ... "fat",i think there leg is resting on it and when they more around it slips off. i was kinda being funny about the fat part but the only 2 people that knocked that strap off are over 300 pounds. I'm 200 and never had any trouble on my side.
JK-KJ, you sounded alittle affended that I used the word "fat" ... didn't mean to offend anyone, sorry if i did. BUT ... I have red hair he calls me red, he has a big belly i call him fat, that's just the way we are.
I'm going out to get a pic now ... gotta hurry, SNL is starting.

Not offended, just didn't understand how it could happen. I'm about 320 and my brother-n-law is about 340, and we've both ridden in the passenger seat and never had a problem with the door straps. What does the size of the belly have to do with a foot hitting the door strap? OK, I'm done now.

I'm not fat bashing, these guys don't just have big stomaches ... they are big all over and take up alot of room.
Here's an example ... I'm 5'8" 200 pounds, the little guy on the left.
