I've been wondering about this. Is there a difference between the auto and the 6spd. With the 6 spd for DVD to play you must have the parking brake engaged. This is different than the auto's apparently, (at least according to the mygig owners manual).

For those of with a 6spd couldn't we just rig something on the e-brake idicator circuit? I imagine the switch is close to the e-brake lever, like most cars.

For those of you with lockpick etc. Did you have to specify manual or auto trans before ordering? If so I'd wager my theory may work.

Only one way to find out...

Thoughs? Anyone tried this already?

That wont work the CANBUS also relays back to the mygig if any of the 4 tires are spinning. So just hacking the wire for the parking brake will not bypass it. There is a reason the Lockpick is $300 because it works! I have it and it is still one of my favorite mods... I added the backup cam (for $30 bucks off of Ebay) the Uconnect hands free mic for $40 from costaltech and some time I might add some video screens in the head rests....but that's down the road...

Do yourself a favor and get the Lockpick and unlock the power of the MyGig that Chrysler should have given you in the first place...

It's an actual (physical) wiring harness that remains with the unit.

I have a 6 spd, but will only play audio no matter what I'm doing. (sitting in driveway, driving, ebrake on/off, etc...). Is there something in the settings that I'm missing to get video?
