Default Fender Chop Houston TX - Sahara Fender Flares - Measurement

Lotta guys have seen this done before, but here are some measurements taken from my jeep.

Here is a quick write-up on chopping the flares narrow, I've got a couple pictures showing measurements.

I simply used a sawzall to cut flares and liner, blue painters tape, 1/4" self tapping screws to fasten the flares to the metal body, used door trims for edges, and gorilla glue between support and fender to prevent flap.

let me know if you have any questions.

If you like it narrow, I've got to warn you..water will splash into the cabin especially if your turning to go left. There are pros though, it"s a cheap mod, less snags out on the trails, alot less cleaning, and of course more flex room.

Here they are installed

What size lift and tires are you running? I've got a sahara with a 4" rancho and 35s, I don't wanna chop the fenders and then have to get a bigger tire since I just got these lol

Default looks very good

i had wondered if the painted flares would look good at all when cut up. you have proven that they do

Is there anything you would have done different?
