Grill Mod
got mine done....
plastic gutter guard from LOWeS $4.50
cut 7 pieces
used my wife's hot glue gun, and glue it straight to the grille...
I used 5 large glue stick total, a lot of glue, and feels pretty solid... hopefully it will stay on in the summer...

I did mine about 2 months ago, they haven't budged since..
I bought plastic gutter guards from Lowe's cut in individual pieces a little larger sized to the actual grill openings. From there, i painted, applied an extreme bond glue to each cut-out and glued them to the back of the grill.
I suggest paiting modifications to the exterior a flat back color using Plasti-Dip spray paint from Lowe's.. I've used this for multiple applications before and it adheres and withstands the extremities of all seasons..
I just did this on my JK, came out really nice. The home depot by me only had long strips of metal gutter guard. I got 1" black zip tie blocks that fit perfect, and black zip ties. I removed the tape from the zip tie blocks and used epoxy to attach them to the freshly cleaned grill. I cut the gutter guard to size, and since it was silver, i primed it, and painted it with truck bed liner to hopefully hold up to rocks and such. Here's some pics:

I've spent the last 2 months modding the heck out of my new Jeep. This grill mod was one on my list. After reading ALL the postings to this thread I made my decision.
I went to my local ACE Hardware and found a piece of 24"x36" metal screen. It had a clover pattern to it and was in a silver finish. I used Krylon prep-free paint and put several coats on it.

I epoxy'd on the zip tie blocks and allowed them to ahere for a week. Not that it as necessary, but I was busy doing other mods. It took me 3 hours to cut and pull the zip ties down tight. The result?

Overall, it's nice. It's lightweight and fairly unique... I think.
Total cost just under $50 bucks.
