Default Help removing decals

Can someone post an, "Idiots guide to removing decals without screwing up the paint"??

I've seen everything from 2000 grit sandpaper and wax to a heat gun. I need to know how to do it right the first time.

Help please.

I always use a little elbow grease and a fingernail. A little heat doesn't hurt..a lot of people will warm them up a smidge with a hair dryer...goo gone also is popular. They aren't stuck with NASA adhesive, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Just peel them off. If it is cold warm them with a hairdryer first. If there is any residue left use some Goof off or WD-40 to clean it up. Please don't use sand paper.

X2 and also dont use a heat gun (They just get too hot) but a hair dryer works. First just start at one corner and start peeling if its not coming off that well, hit it with the hair dryer while pulling.

The trail rated and Jeep logos need a electrical tape wrapped screwdriver. My trail rated badge felt like it was welded to the panel.

1) Drink Milk
2) Grow Fingernails
3) Sit Jeep in Sun
4) Pick Edge of Decal with newly grown Nail(s)
5) Peel away at sharp angle
6) Throw mangled decal in refuse container

I peeled all the the stickers off my Rubi with my fingernails on a warm day and I used fishing line to remove the pasti-chrome Jeep from the grill. All came off with the glue so I didn't need to do anything after removal except wax the areas. In the past when I've removed stickers from other vehicles I've found that a little heat goes a long way and WD 40 works wonders on most glues.
