UPDATE - VIBRATION GONE!!!

Sorry Doc, gotta do it...

I mounted the bar on the plastic trim piece behind the bumper. And as you can imagine any little bump would make them wiggle.
So rather than reinforcing I replaced it w/ composite.

I went to Lowe's and picked up a 5/4" composite decking board (Trex). I used the under side of the board b/c the top side has
a faux woodgrain finish.

I Removed the plastic POS and traced the shape and marked the holes onto the board.



Bevel the saw to 45 degrees and w/ an edge guide, bevel the back edge of the board so it will fit under the grill.
Then cut the sides (45 also). Smooth out the edges and coat with your favorite bedliner spray.




It looks great and solved the wiggle problem. IMO it looks better than factory.

I thought about it, but some of the guys on here were questioning the rigidity of the plastic piece.
