Default Installed Solid diff covers last night. need some help

Hey guys,
I installed the solid diff covers front an rear on a 17 JK hr edition. Dana 44 front and rear. What is the correct amount of fluid.I used lucas 85W-140. I filled about 3 in the front and 4.5in the back. I noticed fluid on the ground this am. Not from the pumpkin. Found blow back from im guessing the beather tube. any suggestions?

Which covers?

Do they not have fill level holes?

That is probably more than double too much.

Yep, you've over filled them. When you switch to a different cover, you just have to figure out what amount of fluid is going to get to reach the bottom of your axle tubes.

With a factory cover, the amount is below.

Front Dana 44
1.35 quarts

Front Dana 30
1.3 quarts

Rear Dana 44
2.4 quarts

Do not fill your diff's to the fill port on aftermarket diff covers. This will over service the diff and can cause the inner axle seals fail due to the high pressure.
