Great write-up thanks, Mine are not due 6700miles but I will be taking them apart to try to stop them from squealing after the get warm they start when coming to a complete stop from 10mph down, The dealer says “cannot recreate customers complaint” maybe bevel the leading edge and some stop squeal spray will do the trick.
I have noticed a lot of brake dust on just the rears.

ok...this is driviing me nutz. I just replaced pads and rotors. Everything was done correctly as far as I know. I have probably done 20 or so brake jobs on various cars and trucks. New rotors and ceramic pads. Used a synthetic grease on the pad retaining clips and still have a loud squeel when I apply the brakes. The sqeal sounds when I first apply the brakes and goes away as I press the brake pedal harder. I think the squeal is coming from the fronts. I have given the jeep a week for the brakes to "settle" but still have the damn squeal. I could see this happening if only pads were changed but theres brand new rotors as well. Anybody else have a similar expirience? I would appriciate any insite you guys could provide before i pull everything apart. Thanks, Mike

i get this too, from the old brakes and now the new one are starting.
on the new ones it's like you said; it's when first put pressure on the brakes then it goes away as more pressure is applied.
my squeal pulses too.

I was pulling the wheels and brakes every 3 weeks or so to re gease everything. it would help for a few weeks then it's back.
it drives me crazy

I had pad left on the old ones, but I thought by putting in new pads and clips and greasing everything it would fix it. It did for 3-4 weeks
BTW; This is on the rear.

hopefully some body might have found a fix or at least a cause.

I used that red spray coating stuff on the back of the pads, let it dry, then applied the grease. Still has a squeak every once in awhile , but not all the time like it used too.
