JK Rear Brake Pad Replacement Write-Up
I am talking about the litlle clips that actually press into the caliper itself. Not sure what the technical term is but I would call the ends of the brake pads "ears" I greased the clips that the ears press into
I used a light coat of grease basically everywhere the pads don't touch the rotor. Not the edges of the pads though, just everywhere else it touches metal . Again I say, not where the pad contacts the rotor. On the back of the pads only, where the back of the pad rests in the calipers and against the plunger.

Do you use regular bearing grease, or some type of lube used for break systems. I think autozone one time wanted to sell me something to use with break pads. I have never done this before. Is it to minimize break squeal?
Thanks
What grease/spray is everyone using? Is this it?

I am using you even use it on the clips the brake pads slide into?
I am doing brakes for the first time and brake system is really not something I wanna mess up. WOL did not mention any grease in his write up..
Also do I need new rotors at 23k? If so how do I replace the rotor? Will it slide right off once the caliper is off?

I am going to pull all mthe pads and grease the backs of them. Check your rotors gouges or worping. I would probably change them out on the front at least. The front rotors will come right off. You will have to adjust your e-brake drumbs to remove the rears.
