I have the same thing on my '09, still have full range of motion on the seat and I have never once knocked it out. Those brackets hold the flashlight very securely.

Great location for this but the light would disappear the first time I went somewhere with the doors off.

Just did this Friday night. Took me longer to find a store that carried the mounts than it did to do the mod and cost me more $ in gas than the mounts! LOL

Agree with "Issy", it would disappear the first time I take my doors off... Just gonna have to remember to stash it

I'm having a hard time finding the mounts or I'd have this done already.
I guess I'll try amazon.

I'm all over this! I've kept mine in the back under the mat, but now I'll have one by my seat to help me find the one in the back when its dark!

This was actually the first mod I did to my 11. I just used self tapping screws into the trim under the drivers seat. Has not been knocked once and the seat slides forward and back and raises and lowers without any issues.

Sweet! Perfect timing. I decided tonight I needed to figure a place to mount a flashlight.

Did this a couple years ago, have one on both drivers and passengers side.
