Default Make your own cargo netting

Make your own cargo netting for a fraction of the price.
I got 100 yrds of strapping for $26 and around $25 for grommets and a punch. With a day or 2 of your time and you have saved money for them more important parts

Default Cargo Netting

Subscribed, I have been toying with the idea of doing this myself as well. I am also thinking of using a waterproof polyester (Material like what backpacks are made out of) to line the back of the rear seats to protect them from the pup and her hair. Very interested to see how yours comes out.

What size did you select for the strapping? Brand?
Thanks,

Rick.

The strapping is 1.5" 100 Yards Lite Weight Black Polypro Webbing and that was purchased from countrybrookdesign.com. The grommets and punch you can purchase at most hardware stores. BTW I have about 1 hr off work into what you see. After i get all straps fastened to out side, I'll have the wife break out the sewing machine and sew all intersecting straps before I punch hole and mount grommets.

Looks cool man.

Seattlefabrics.com has some nice heavy duty nylon webbing in stock and grommet kits. I was up there a few days ago picking up some boat glass for a project.
Tandy Leather carries the black anodized brass military grommets if your want a stealthy look.

I'd reccomend burning the holes for your size "0" grommets with a soldering iron so they don't frey out and pull through when the monkeys start climbing your Jeep.
