Dude very nice! I thought about doing the same thing and wondered if somebody sells the metal mesh in black.

Default write up for grille

ok so here is my write up: 1st i went to home depot and bought the rain gutter guards made from galvanized metal .

2nd i cut a piece of 2x4 at exactly 10 1/8. then i cut the gutter guard at 12"

3rd i placed the 12" piece over the 2x4 and hammered it down untill it took this shape. .

4th i cut some flaps so i could support it to the grille.

5th i placed about 25 sticky backs to the back of the grille

6th i primed and painted black. i used a really cheap camera for the pics which is probably why the mesh looks silver.

finally i tie rapped them down, and walla.

saved myself about 190$. any questions? i would be happy to answer

Default like 'em

IF my plastic Home Depot Gutter Guards ever wear out this will be my next material.....already have the zip-tie blocks epoxied in place so it wouldn't take long!

Awesome idea.....and cheap too!!!!
