Default Rear storage MOLLE system

I made this out of some dense material and nylon strapping from the clothing store. I have seen some stuff like this in different mags and though it was a great idea. I made mine 30-1/2 X 15-1/2 long and used screw post buttons to attach to the rear door. I did take out my rear sub but that wasnt needed unless you want the whole door to hold stuff. I think this will be strong enough to support plenty of weight but I do not have all of my pouches yet. Once I get them I will add some new pics.

Any different combination of MOLLE pouches could be used here.

That's a really awesome idea, I think smitty has one now i saw somewhere. and there is another company that has one that has like molded pocket/containers.. but i like the home made idea!

You should sell those seriously. throw a few pouches on there and start taking orders!

I know! I think they would be popular. But no, I have had a few ideas and one I thought was awesome, but I dont know how to get the name and product out there. Didnt realize I couldnt here and got a warning, but it was my fault. There is only about 15.00 woth of parts, snaps and fabric so it wouldnt be bad.

I did see a fabric one with pouches for around 90 and a metal framed one for about 200. No thanks, I will stick with DIY stuff.

Not into sellin either. With this all you need is a square piece thats about 30.5" by 15.5" and the webbing an inch apart i think. then sew it vertically at a spacing of 1-11/16 if my math is right and you are in there like swim wear. If you have a bag allready just measure to double check but its fast and easy. A local shoe repair place did all the stiching for 12.00.

Not bad for a days work.

Hope this give you all ideas and saves you money, I cannot stand how these companies bend you over with the total cost these days!

Add any number of pouches or holders. Utility, flashlight, shovel, first aid kit, handcuff....etc, you name it.

For sure. I was planning on taking pictures when I make it but for what ever reason I got too into it and then noticed that the camera was on the counter with ZERO pictures on it. So far this thing is great. I dont have a TON of weight on it but I plan to add more pockets, one for a giant tow strap and another for jumper cables. Thats a little weight there and I know it will hold just fine.

Give me a few days to take some pics and list what I did. This is fairly simple to do, and the screw post snaps I got from a "farm and barn (fleet farm)" store. Again the pictures will be the best I can do since it is together now, but I am sure with a little imagineation you will know what I did. They should be detailed enough to get an idea.

Total cost for me on this, without the pockets, was right at 30.00.

Very nice setup. You could use some velcro straps through that to hold recovery gear, flares, folding shovel, etc.
