Default Removed Spare from Tailgate

I could sure use someones help. I removed the spare and would like to cover up the holes left behind after I removed the bracket.

Have any of you guys done this? and what did you use to clean up the tailgate?

I was hoping someone out there made a plate to cover the holes, any suggestions.

Thanks

I used some table seals. they are like plastic and round to go in the holes!

Don't know about plates, but your local ACE will have a section with a variety of rubber or plastic plugs to cover the holes. Still will look like you got hit with a dose of double aught buck, but at least keep the dirt and crud out.

Just curious....where did you put your spare?

I will not have one. My jeep is going to be an urban vehicle. I commute to work on city streets, and will go out at nights with the wife. The only dirt it will ever see (unfortunately) is the sand blown on the road by the beach.

I carry a plug kit and compressor just in case I get a flat and if that doesn't work I have AAA.

I know alot of people prefer the spare, but I would rather see out my back window ( remember I am in Florida, I need to keep an eye out for the grannies and immigrants). I also prefer the look with no spare.

Warrior Products make a diamond plate cover with 3rd brake mounted on it. Attaches with the factory bolts.

Thanks, I just called Warrior products and got the plate coming. I didn't get the 3rd brake light option. I'll run without it.

That is kind of cool. I just put the original bolts back in. I may have to get me one of those!

Do you have larger than stock size tires? My stock 32" spare doesn't block the view out the back window at all.

I have 35" tires on 20" rims. I forgot what MT tires I have but they are fairly quiet for a Jeep tire.
