This is for intake air not exit .. No reason to meter it.

Old trick I learned when replacing a PCV valve is to use a little oil (3-in-one or just motor oil) around the surfaces valve and the valve cover a few minutes prior to removing the old valve. Makes them come right out. Works really good on the JK since there is the shield around the valve. Also, put a thin film on the new PCV valve grommet before putting in the valve cover. Makes the next one much easier.

Here may be another tip. My jkur is an 07 with 86,000 miles. So I was worried it would be really tuff. I pulled two bolts on coil pack, left all the wires connected, lowered it down.

Sprayed a really small amount of PB blaster into the lid off pb can, and poured it around the edge of pcv valve. 1 hour later, put a small screw down inside the old valve to keep nipple from crushing, grabbed it with vice grips, screw driver thru jaws, leveraged it right out. Super easy.

Someone please help. I've tried to remove my PCV valve with vice grips and can not get this thing out. I've mangled the valve and am running out of patience. How can I get this thing out?

Had to get creative but I finally got this damn PCV valve out. Used a piece of a wire coat hanger to hook up the needle nose vise grips to a ratchet strap over head in order to finally get it out! Then slapped some PB blaster on the new PCV valve that I got from O'Reilly's put a 15 millimeter long socket over the new valve to protect it and it went right in! Whew this has turned into quite the night

Just did mine last night thanks to this thread. (Along with the plugs and wires) like others I had zap strap failure so this is what I came up with....

Its needle nose vice grips attached to pcv then regular vice grips attached to then needle nose at a right angle. I just tapped the top vice grips from underneath with a deadblow hammer and she popped right out.

Cheers and thanks for the writeup

I did the exact same thing with the vice grips! Was really easy that way, after I cussed the zip ties that kept breaking!
