Going to step WAY out on a limb here...
I think this animosity between Jeeps and Hummers is not a healthy thing. We have our preferences, and they have theirs, we are not right and they are wrong, they are not right and we are wrong. We are all Americans, and we make our choices when we buy vehicles. At least we have Hummers and Jeep to buy. Think of the poor souls who don't live in a country where they can drive these vehicles. And no, I don't own a Hummer, never have, nor is it likely I ever will, but I dreamed for years of owning an original H1. Does that make me an enemy too?!
I appplaud your restraint, I would have been pretty upset too. This guy was just rude, and sounds like his money went to his head. I'm sure there are rude Jeep drivers out there too.
I have been, and always shall be a Jeep man, but let's not start building walls between brands. Remember, we're all on the same side, USA...

As for the guy with the poorman's hummer comment; driving a hummer coupled with the fact of his rude remark says a little about his manhood, or lack there of. A guy driving a hummer doesn't offend me at all, but that comment! sheesh, what a jerk!

Well, Back on topic... After a nice long road trip this last weekend.. Average MPG's.. After all the upgrades..
Average Speed - 70 MPh..
Average MPG - 21.5.. On the highway of course...
18 - 20 mpg around town.. So I can say I defienetly picked up 2 MPG's...

Just out of curiosity, why did you choose the intake you did instead of the AIRAID? Is yours better?
And as for the exhaust, I hope somebody comes our with headers for this Jeep. I think you'd pick up an additional 5-15hp and perhaps even another MPG.

Actually I ended up with a custom K&N set up.. I've personally never been a fan of AEM or Airaid... I did my original testiing with the AEM and haven't dyno'd it with the K&N yet,, later this week.. In my personal opinion the stock headers are plenty good enough.. I just had mine Ceramic Coated.. I will get some pics up on my Intake soon...

2-On the dual exhaust test, did you use a crossover pipe, or H-pipe, or just straight dual pipes all the way back? That could explain the loss of torque on the low end.
3-Did you use the same diameter pipe for the dual setup as the single? Maybe the pipe was too large and contributed to the loss of your low-end. Just speculating.
Anyway, congrats on a job well done! Great to see some real-world, unbiased tests, especially on a Jeep! I have a hard time taking some of those magazine tests seriously. I mean, would they really say a product doesn't work, when that product manufacturer pays big $$ to advertise in their mag? Not pointing fingers, just thinking out loud...

We used the factory 2.5" exhaust thru all our test..
Anytime you add a Y/H between your dual exhaust you don't see much differences. The point of the Y/H setup is to ballance the exhaust pressure between the two engine banks.. Giving a smoother running engine. In some cases you can pick up a ponny or two because this.. Usually not Torque...
I'm sure we might have dropped the pipe size with the dual and picked up some more torque.. But keep in mind there is not much room under these new JK's.. It was tough just to run some test.. It can be done..
I was happy with the results renderd.. One could spend countless hours trying different sizes and different expansion chambers... (Mufflers)
