Rough Country Trailer Hitch
[QUOTE=wayland1985;428519]The longer hitches will be very useful if you plan on using a bike rack or anything.QUOTE]
Cosmetically, the nearly flush mount looks great...the reality is that the "normal" extended hitch of other manufacturer's is needed for virtually any application...the spare tire has a lot to do with the design...otherwise you will need to buy an extender to accomodate that short receiver

I had purchased a Curt hitch from 4WDH for $79.99 and Wiring harness $39.99. Did the work myself in less than an hour.
For those who had bought a Rugged Ridge hitch, I would watch out. In small print it says that its not TOW RATED.

How much? been looking at this idea for a little bit.
just what I was thinking.
1) Hey, I think you left something in there
2) uhh, thats kind of dumb, not tow rated... but I guess if all you need is a bike rack (like me) its good enough. (Bronco is tow vehicle)
3) ya, I know he's not done in that pic

I have said it before on multiple forums about Rugged Ridge products...they are poor take off's of other manufacturer products...quality control is non existent, much is manufactured overseas, and yes, the hitch copy they sell is NOT tow rated. You couldn't give me a Rugged Ridge product.

Guess I'm a little disappointed - the Rough Country hitch paper work states you should not exceed towing 2,000 pounds with their hitch despite the 3500# tow rating on the JK.
I don't plan on towing anything quite that heavy BUT if I ever need to I want to know the hitch can handle it. Looks like I'll be returning the "never installed" Rough Country hitch instead of the Hidden Hitch. I'll take performance over asthetics on most days.
