umm.....

I work as a DE for a certin hitch company.......the big one *hint, hint

To the best of my knowledge Reese/Hidden Hitch/Draw-Tite is the only company with test stands at both design facilities.

It's pretty neat!! We try to break everything before it's built!! Not only is Static testig performed but a fatigue with special loading/life cycle parameters which are protected and propietary.

I have seen many other brands out there and their construction usually is not nearly as robust.

*keep in mind these are my personal views and are not endoursed by the company I design for.

My experience with 4wd.com was great They were out of the elcheapo hitch so they upgraded me to the Curt and added next day air for free I could not have asked for any more well I could have but… Customer service was friendly and handled it.
I am sure everyone has had good and bad with large company’s and it all coms down to if they care for return business.
Frank.

Neither of these two complaints are what our policy is at Rough Country and the return policy is stated on the web. Now if there is a problem on our end regardless of what it is with we will fix it no questions asked. That is what our 100% customer satisfaction stands for. Now if a customer has ordered something and has decided he or doesn't want it then yes we have a %20 restocking fee. That is it in nut shell.

If you will send me your shipping information I will have it replaced for you...we need to know about stuff like this so our inventory can be checked. It seems our QC dept misses a few things here and there.

Love my Hidden Hitch Class III. Extends out just enough so that my rise hitch clears the spare which is important in some configurations. It's built VERY sturdy.

4wd.com has the Smittybilt Hitch for $59.99. With their current sale going on, I got it with free shipping too, all for $53.99 total. Got it in the mail today and looks just as solid as the others.
