Default Rugged Ridge snorkle

Put on the rugged ridge snorkel today. Only have finished product pictures, sorry. I was amazed that it only took 4 hours, which included taking of the rock rails. Took my time other wise easily could have been done in 3 hours.

I don't have a whole lot wrenching skills but it was super easy.

Wonder how it will effect my gas mileage? Anyone else running one of these? If you are shoot me if you like or dislike it.

Btw it went on my 2009 2 door X.

I installed mine last week but I can't talk about my gas consumption as we've changed over to winter gas up here and I am burning more. If you're not a fan of the chrome rugged ridge label, you can plasti dip it and the logo will still show through. It's what I did.

PS: They look badass!

Looks great. I'm still waiting on the ARB Safari snorkel to come available for the 2012.

Idk if we have switched over to winter gas or not but i am noticing about a 2 mpg loss. Took me like 6 hours to install with not having the best tools.

Me too! Cant wait until they release it for the 12's. Looks awesome

Can you post a pic from the inside? I would love to see how much of the view if any is compromised.

Thanks

Looks great! I love the way these look, much less like an elephant's trunk than the competitors how was the install? It looks simple enough, but you never know with some of these things.

Super easy to install if you can use a socket wrench yup can install it. Easy directions, easy to follow. Used dremmel, socket wrench, and that's it. Four hours with a few smoke breaks and coffe refills is all it took.

I've had mine installed for a couple months. No major change in MPG, but I am only running the low mount. I'm not sure I'll put the high mount on or not.
