Soft top cleaner Dawn dish soap
Spoke to Bestop in Re: the safest and best way to clean my new top, especially of the
winter salt stains provided by the over zealous town road crew....Bestop tech responded and said use a very soft (shoe brush soft) brush and Dawn dish soap.....thought it was strange they didn't push the cleaner they sell but tried it today.....great results.. I use hot water in the winter to wash the jeep as its easy on the hands...soaked the top put 2 good size squirts in 2 gallons of hot water.....,brushed for a few minutes and the top is clean... no signs of salt stains etc.....I am very pleased with the results...

That's good info. Thanks. I usually use just water (no salt on the roads here) and a shoe brush. And then about once a year I use the Bestop cleaner and conditioner. Good to know I won't have to buy those again.
