And yet another reason why I didn't stay when I was there! This is one of the best ideas I have seen in awhile... I am gonna make one today after I get back from bow hunting.

Well, if they didn't keep people like you from carrying guns around, there would be a huge crime problem in Cali for sure..... oh wait

Default 2 Doors...

Just so everyone knows, this won't work in a two door. The rail across the top of the sound bar sits in a different spot (the one in the soft top). It's a little further back and maybe even a little lower. I wasted a little time cutting and painting my board before I realized it! SNAFU

Does your cross bar for your soft top sit right above your soundbar?
If so that kinda su*ks that this only works for a 4 door softtop.

I'd be interested in getting a forum member's opinion who is in law enforcement, because this could get tricky as far as concealed weapon laws go... Basically, a space has been modified to hold a weapon and it's within reach of the driver.

I can't qoute the law, because each state is different... But for the record, I'm not knocking the mod because I think it's great.

Not sure about laws in NC, but as long as its not loaded, you shouldn't have a problem. Conceiled carry laws apply to pistols, not rifles and shotguns.
