Looks good and is a nice option -- appreciate the write up. My only concern would be the weight on the stock hinges. Hi- lift jacks are very heavy and then add the weight of a spare. Would you mind keeping us posted to see if this causes any concerns ?

I will, but be aware that I don't leave the jack mounted all the time. Just when I'm planning to go adventuring. I'll post back after EJS and let you know if there was an issue that didn't appear last year during the 2 weeks it was on during my Colorado trip.

That makes sense... I've been looking for a way to mount my jack and like you, the conventional ways are not very appealing.
