I just stubbyfied (if thats a word) my bumper yesterday. Looks awesome and it's gonna save me some cash so I don't have to buy an aftermarket one. Will try and post some pics later today. Thanks everyone for their posts and write-ups.

It's been done for a while but I just got around to finding the camera, Looks pretty much like everyone else's I guess. I used loctite to "glue" the brass insert back in, which worked well. Went with Black #8 sheet metal screws from the local hardware store. Cheap, easy and plentiful. Thanks to everyone for the ideas and great wrie-ups. This board is awesome.

Ended up ordering the rivets online. Got it wrapped up this past weekend. Not sure if this thread needs ANOTHER pic of a stubbed out front bumper, but I'll post one tomorrow anyways. LOL

Thanks to this thread, I too did this easy modification the other day. I didnt remove my bumper and I cut the 4 1/2 inch piece away from the brass inserts to not have to mess with it. I also cut the center portion out of the end caps and only cut 2 inches off of the steel bumper under the plastic pieces and fit the cap back onto it, so that I have some steel still under the bumper caps on the end. Big thanks to all that have done this before and all of the tips!!!

Just cut down my stocker to a stubby. Was going to go for the RR end caps but I kinda like the open look.
