I lined the table tray with 1/8 tempered Masonite for a clean surface.

Hey just a side note, if you have the gear panel you will need to trim this to fit. Leave the panel about a inch longer on the sides you have cut, then fold this edge under so when you rivet it in place it will have a double layer of the canvas material to go through for strength and appearance.
I also upgraded the main hinge attached to the table using 1/4" threaded bar with spacers and lock nuts.
