Nope 100% sure that they have to flash the computer for the trans. I had this issue for a while. Jeep made me believe I needed a new trans. After talking to a few experts they thought the computer was still in a learning mode and it needed to be reset. I still have the receipt for what they did to fix the issue. It took 15 min and right after there was instant change. The aftermarket programmers will not fix the issue sorry. Had one. Didn't work. You need to tell jeep what you want them to do. There is no reason they can't flash the computer. Even getting a new torque converter will not fix this issue. The computer needs to tell the trans what to do .

Well I went to another dealership. I told the all the issue I have been having. The guy said that they will flash it for 100.00. Not one single argument. They apologized for the other dealership. I will be getting done tomorrow. I went to the other one that was giving me problems and call them all ass wholes flipped them off and said have a good day.

When my issue started I must have brought my jeep in 5 times. Each time they as some excuse as to why they couldn't figure it out .. So when I finally printed that service bulletin to show them the service manage told me it's not a recall so they wouldn't fix it. .. I told them to do what I asked. I was ready to get rid of my jeep the shudder was so bad. The dealer should really listen to the customers more. I mean seriously it took walking in with a Chrysler, jeep, dodge service bulletin. Do they not have these ? I get it. It's all about money.

Yea your right they do need to listen to the customer. If you have crappy customer service you don't have customer returns and their for your company doesn't get recommend. But once the it done at the dealership I will run it for a while to see what happens.Do have any input on ATS performance transmission. Cause they are the only ones I can find that have a new torque converter. Of n I end up needing one.

I don't know a lot about ATS. From what I know they glorify in diesel. They seem to be a legit company. I'm not sure how it would be on a jeep.

Well I'm still waiting to here back from the Dealership. If this doesn't work then ATS here I come. It is 800.00 for the torque converter. You get 400.00 once you send in the core

Well got it back from the Dealership. Still have the shudder. But I have to admit that it does shift better and throttle response is better. Looks like it is time to order the torque converter.

Shudder is not any smoother ? How long has it done that for? I wonder if the shudder ruined it.

Hm sorry man. It fixed my car. If I had to buy a new torque converter I would of traded it in for a rubicon.
