Just a few things to update today. Ordered the Motor Guard filter and cut it down to fit in the old school motor guard housing. Got that all set up today.

Got a chance to play with the plasma cutter a bit. I makes cuts a lot cleaner than I expected. I've only used one other plasma before and it was sloppy as hell, but I'm thinking it must have had a worn out tip or something because this cheap plasma worked really well. Thickest thing I played with was the .120 wall tube and it cut it like nothing. I need to work on steadying my hands, I'm definitely never going to be a surgeon.

As for the fenders, I got the passenger side tube bent and in position. I'll get it framed up tomorrow. I think it already looks better than the other side. I bent the forward tube sharper and left the top longer and it just looks more symmetrical. I should be rolling around a completed set of rear fenders by Sunday, bed linered and all.

Spent maybe two hours outside today working in the shop. Got the frames made up and tacked in place. You can see the huge difference between the driver and passenger side fenders. I like this second one much better. I may just have to redo the first one...someday.

Not too much more to do. Couple more pieces and skins and it's ready for finishing and bed liner.

Damn it. Ran out of mig wire AGAIN! I need to just get a 10lb spool. But it's almost done. Just needs final tacking, welding and grinding. This sheet metal work is 100 times better. Almost perfect except for the dent at the bottom front. I'm much happier with this fender, but I kind of feel like I should have just built a tube buggy by this point. I tried to upload a video of the plasma cutter in action but youtube thought it was too boring and wouldn't upload it.

With blacked out wheel wells and bed linered fenders, that one will look pretty good.

As long as it doesn't break I'd say it's the best bargain going. I haven't cut anything thicker than 3/16" mild steel, but it cuts it cleanly and quickly. My only gripe would be the button is small and difficult to keep depressed with gloves on. But the performance is good, and it feels well made. The gun is solid, the unit has good weight to it, the ground clamp is very good. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the apparent quality when I unpackaged it. I feel the same after using it.

The rears are finally done! They're hanging in my shop, Raptor liner curing right now. I'll bolt them up this weekend and snap some final pics. They turned out very nicely, the Raptor Liner really buried all the remaining flaws.

Some touch up body filler. I didn't spend a lot of time on this, little Rage Ultra and some 80 grit on the DA and I smoothed my ugly welds right out.

Got a lot of bare metal here so it's important to clean and etch prime it before applying any coatings. In the green Sata paint gun I have some PPG SX1071/1072 etch primer. I went with a little different gun than the super cheapo gun from UPol and bought instead a regular cheapo AeroPro schutz gun. I cleaned it with some wax and grease remover.

Cleaned parts ready for etch primer and some hardware store painters plastic hung up to protect my shop from overspray;

Lol, yeah I may have a little burn out. The rears are done, just need to be installed, but I have some Poison Spyder rocker armor Christmas presents coming this Sunday. I'm going to write up how I install those, as I'll be spot welding them in place, in two pieces, and I'll bed line them and the rear wheel wells at the same time. Then the fenders will go on.

I have plenty of time before snowboarding season ends (starts?) to get all my Jeep projects done.

I also have to build the wife a bed for our new king size sleep number her parents go us for Christmas. I'm busy
