The lock is tough. They're not gonna break it using simple tools--at least not without removing it from the Jeep and spending a couple hours. Any thief who would have the tools to break this lock will probably just unbolt your drawer and steal the whole thing--or they'll just steal your Jeep!

Most break-ins are smash-and-grab jobs. I'm confident the lock will stop any petty thief.

Mine arrived this morning. Installed it a couple hours ago. I didn't need a breaker bar but I can see where some people might. Those bolts are in there but good! I went to the hardware store to pick up some tool box drawer liner... hehe the price in the parts department was about 5 times the price of the stuff used to line cabinet drawers in the kitchen/cooking section of the store. I ended up buying liner that was white vs. black. I found that as the drawer is down on the floor it is in a kinda low light area even in broad daylight. I went with a lighter color liner to help me see what was in the drawer when its darker...at least I think it will help.

Installed mine yesterday, ended up using the handle from my Hi-Lift as a breaker bar to get those front bolts loose. After waiting for over two months on the Bestop one, i ended up changing my order to this one. Glad I did, a friend has the bestop and it is much smaller, and doesnt seem as secure.

LOL I needed no breaker bar but I lift weights all the time used my 1/2 in ratchet, the bolt closer to the door was a two grunt to move. I really like the quality of the drawer. Took me 10 min to install/

Yeah, the combo lock is awesome. Perfect for the times when you don't feel like carrying things in your pocket, keys, phone, etc. Like on the beach or in the woods.

Thanks for all the input from everyone. I just installed mine, and agree the most time I spent was looking for the 18mm socket! After reading all the posts about how tight the bolts were I started out with my Hi-Lift handle on the 1/2" ratchet and was finished in less than 10 minutes.

Thanks everyone!

If you call around some of the sponsors might have them in stock.

I had ordered mine from Tuffy but they were on backorder. So I called Nothridge4x4 and they sent one out to me 4 days later. Andthey offered free shipping when Tuffy was charging me $10 for shipping. I would call them and see if they have any.
