That is pretty darn good, a locking device would be nice when the top is off.

I found a nice lock for mine. I've been trying to finish its installation, but higher priorities keep presenting themselves. Pics to follow soon.

if you look at the third pic, i cut out around the sub then put some hinges on it so the gap wouldnt be there when it was laying flat

Default Steeler nation

Saw this post last night and decided to throw one together today.
Used plywood and ripped some pressure treated 2x6 that I had lying around. I ripped them to a true 4 inches tall, used 1/2 plywood for the top. I was going to go to Lowe's for the carpet, but I used something else that I had for the outside.
I had 3M spray adhesive, sprayed the plywood and the back of the rug. Stuck really well; the back of the carpet was rubber. Stapled the inside of the rolled edges of carpet with staple gun. Some paint, hinges, and secured it to the seat bracket. Going to figure out a way to keep it open. May get one of those gas shocks to mount in there.

Whadia think???

Finished the lock for the under-floor storage.

I found the lock at a local lock shop. No part number or description. It was just in a sealed plastic bag with some hardware; $12.

Has anyone thought about using the fake wood or manufactured decking instead of the 2x4 or metal?

Durabiliy, light weight, and comes in alot of different colors.
