I don't explain or justify anything for the Jeep with my girlfriend. She just accepts it and loves riding around in it. I got super lucky with her.

I wouldn't either if I had a girlfriend. But a wife and girlfriend are two different things. I still pretty much buy anything I want, because I'm pretty responsible when it comes to "our" money. But for major purchases, we do talk abut it.......which is only fair IMHO.

Wholeheartedly agree, there's a significant difference. Been there once, not rushing into it again. Fortunately I'm nearing the completion of the Jeep. Just a couple big things and then I'm done. Tire carrier, some suspension work, some break upgrades, and little things. I really wish Rugged Ridge would come out with their snorkel. Maybe some new fenders, I don't know yet though.

Yeah........what up with that? They must have run into a major snag. Have you read anything about what the holdup is?

I haven't read anything about it in a long time. It's like it fell off the drawing board.

I was mostly just joking about having to justify things I buy with the gf. I want the rugged ridge snorkel do to not having to drill/cut the body or hood like other brands. I am interested what it will look like under the hood and if it would inerfere with a dual battery set-up.

I remember reading the rep's post about it not interfering with a dual battery since they sell a kit for it. I have a high-output alternator right now but I may consider a dual battery down the road, I'd like to have the option.

Yeah. That mean green alternator is on my list of mods i want to do but the only aftermarket stuff that I have that causes extra draw is the winch which i always apply a little more gas when I use and the cb which doesnt draw too much at all. When I go to add auxillary lights is when I think I might add the dual battery/mean green.

The mean green is one of the mods I like the most. It's great not having a high idle to use the compressor. And it charges the battery fast after running the radio for hours.
