Alaska BS thread
Nitto Trail Grapplers here - no studs - they do fine. Ice is ice and even if studded it is still an equalizer. I adjust my take off and stopping speeds and distances accordingly as well as putting my Jeep in four high for most of the season. Been running Jeeps here for over five years without issues or needing any additional tires. The stock BFGs are good tires - a lot of driving up here is just adjustment to the conditions - hope that helps.

Yeah I've been here almost 7 years. Driving jeeps with mts and no issues, have slid around though. This is the second winter in our jk and the main concerns is my family is always in it. There's gunna be a lot of soldotna to anchorage trips. I don't really want to buy winter tires because I want to buy 33s next spring. I just want to know what u guys run and what u think oh them. I currently am thinking all terrains. Thanks for the input!
Ok so yesterday morning I went out to start my jeep and I saw a frozen orange puddle under it.. I followed the frozen trail and it turned out to be my -20 degree washer fluid.. It was too damn cold for me to dig too deep to find out if it was my reservoir or a hose that blew.. Has this happened to anyone here? I don't know how it could have when it only hit around -5 in anchorage..
