Default in the rain....

I'm here in Juneau. Lived in AK for 30 years (Spenard, Fairbanks/UAF, and Juneau), moved up from WA when I was a year old.

For Jeeps, I've driven a ZJ, a TJ, and now have a JKU. Jeeps are my biggest hobby, even though mine is currently stock. I'm a Jeepmom and I Jeepwave. Any other Juneau Jeepers??

I'm about to go to Alaska for a nols trip. Is there still a lot of snow up in the mountains? I'm from oklahoma and any multi - day cold gear tips are welcome. I'll be living on a glacier for a month up there. I'm pumped!

So I mean if it's still pretty snowy at the base then I shouldn't have anything to worry about. What mountaineering boots would you guys recommend?

I would check with Alaska Mountaineering & Hiking in Anchorage. They would probably be your best best for info on mountaineering boots. Just Google AMH Anchorage.

Think I saw you (or the wife) the other day either in Kenai or Soldotna. You're probably the only one on the Pen with that color......
