Default Looking for a D44

Anyone know where I could score a rear non-rubi Dana 44 for my JK?
Guy in the 48 wants 1400 shipped for a 44 with 95k miles
Lithia only has a new Rubi 44 for 2494.80 shipped
preferably from a Jk 07- and up
Any help is appreciated!

I have a buddy who totaled his 07 unlimited x (front end collision on base) last spring i assume that it went to an anchorage wrecking yard if you want to try and track it down.

If you wanted you could get that rubi axle which has 4.10's and rear locker. Then re-gear the front (if needed).

Your buddy doesn't know who took his JKU does he? I've got some requests to the junk yards and I'll call around a few more places. There has to be one in the SOA somewhere!
I have 4.10's right now. Also have the ARB locker waiting to install for a non-rubi 44. or else I would go with a rubi
Thanks guys.

You may want to post a "wanted" on the AK. Craigslist. Even if you have to go to Fairbanks it may still be worth it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't I seen a few guys on here put a Ford truck front and rear ends in their jeeps? Does the F-250 have the 44 or 60 even? I just can't remember in my old age........lol

IMO the fab work for that would probably cost for than the axle he was looking at to get shipped. Not to mention your bash would look like a christmas tree with all the electronic crap on the jk's (ESP, ABS). However the craigslist post isnt a bad idea.

Oh yeah.....the only way I would even think of doing a swap like that is if I had, or somebody I knew had the skills and motivation to do it.....just for the sake of doing it. And after the install, getting all the elec. right would be another story for sure. But if you did, it would be one HD som'bitch.....lol
