Default Quadratec from Alaska...???

Have any of you up here dealt with Quadratec? I placed an order last Sat. The guy said it would go out on Mon. Here it is Sat, I made sure to get to the PO before noon as that's when they close today, and it's still not here. As you all know living here....SHIPPING IS A BITCH...lol, but what pisses me off is I'm paying for a service I'm not getting. I went for USPS Priority Mail to my PO Box. I always do as I don't like UPS. Quadratec is chargeing me twice as much as they would to somebody in the lower 48. Almost $30. for something that should probably, in reality, cost less than $10. USPS Priority mail is supposed to be 3-4 day service. And it always has rang true in all my dealings with them. So here is the FIRST time I've ever dealt with Quadratec and now this. Normally I'd be on the horn straight away, but I'm pissed enough as it is and am not in the mood to deal with some schmuck at Quad that don't know shit. So, all I can say, is I'll give them until the first part of next week, and if it's not here by then, that will probably be the first AND the last time I'll ever do business with them.

Any of you had dealings with them?

hopefully tonk gets on here and inputs his full version but I'll give the cliff notes cause he stopped by last week and vented. He was looking at getting some shackles for his bumper; $10 part. He was on the phone with them and they were going to cut him a deal and ship them for $40!!!!! A Deal I won't quote him but something along the lines of he asked if they were crazy and the guy hung up on him!

But no, I haven't dealt with them and won't since I can find their shit cheaper on a lot of other websites and some are more then willing to assist with shipping.

Quadratec is a joke. Their shipping is insane and their customer service is piss poor. They wanted 40 some odd bucks to ship 4 shackles up here. I asked the guy if he was kidding and he hung up on me. So Quadratec is on my shit list.

Yep.....that's true Falcon, and even if they can't change shipping prices, they can at least discount the purchase price. Ya know, I'm/we're used to paying high prices for shipping....for the most part it's the price of living in God's country. But like I said, I paid for Priority mail, and I'm not getting Priority mail service.

Oh and check this out.....

Go to the USPS website. Go to the place where you can type in weights and measurements and where shipping will go out and come in, to find out what it will cost. Type in an imaginary weight and size, and then use a zip code from say Miami FL. to your zip in Alaska. Then type the same weight and size and use a zip from Miami to Los Angeles CA. Last time I did, it was EXACTLY the same price to ship. So they can't tell me it costs "so much more to ship to Alaska" BULLSHIT....they just don't want to be bothered to help us out.

I have a feeling I would have been better off getting the wiring harness from U-Haul (they would have had to order it) and making my own light mounts....

I'm all for supporting our local businesses too but so far they are bigger shysters then anyone online. Uhaul might be different (actually betting on it) but be very wary dealing with any local 4x4 shops. It sucks but it all seems they eat dinner together and contemplate comparable rapings on parts. Who I will vouch for is northridge4x4. All I've ordered through David is a snorkel and that bitch was in my hands 4 days after ordering. Hindsight is 20/20 and a bitch but knowledge is power
