I can attest that it's a solid kit and we got a couple of tricks we figured out along the install we'll be more then happy to share...most of it involves a little extra grease and some ingenuity

Just for gee-whiz info tho...apparantly Jeeps made and shipped to Alaska are not manufatured the same as all the other Jeeps that came off the same assembly line so I'm looking at doing a write-up for "finessing" the rear trackbar bracket into the stock location. let's just say that a grinder is going to be involved

I suggest using a freight forwarder for shipping to save a few bucks. If interested in going that route, send me a pm and I will point you in the right direction....
Hi Again Tonk.......Just checking back in.......how's the lift doin'?...Still happy? Any little "drive ya crazy" issues come up at all? Hope not.

Just curious.....

Thanks

I installed my TF 2.5 coils and shocks over the weekend.

For everyone who does not get the rear track bar lowering bracket to line up right away like mine I just beveled the inside edge of the factory track bar bracket. Only took a 1/8 inch flat on each side of the bracket beveled in at about 45 degrees.

The lowering bracket lined right up.

I also extended the parking break cable holder down with a couple of two inch cap screws and a couple of 1 inch threaded nuts. About $5 of stuff at the hardware store.

Relative piece of cake to install. I did have the $12 spring compressors from harbor freight. I also used a small bottle of blue locktite.

Good idea with the e-brake lines Maybe we'll do this on tonk's rig when we get back under there to cut/grind some of the factory trackbar mount....we defintely got more then 1/8 of an inch to go.

The lift is great. No squeaking or issues whatsoever. The only issue I am having is whether to pull the trigger on 35's vs the 33's that are on it. I think falconfixer has talked me out of it though.

Thanks Joe for saving me a $1000 and possibly some headaches with a future moneypit

Glad to hear it. Yes, I'm sure we'd all love 35s, but seeing it's my DD, and sometime makes a 90 mile commute to work everyday, I wanted it to be good ON the road most of all. Even with the 33s I lost major mpgs, so can't even imagine the 35s. Glad I got some of that back with the Super Chips. I'm more than happy with the 33s at this time. If I could afford to break my JK then I'd probably put all kinds of $mods$ on it. But for now, it'll do.

Now I just need tonkmaster to talk me out of 35s

AKDave, let me know when you decide to install the lift and maybe I can make a trip down there to lend a hand or even give assistance over the phone.
