Default Wheels

Hey guys, was looking for wheels for my jeep and thought id ask some fellow alaskans their opinion and input as im not sure what i want.

I was looking at pro comps 7189's
http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partId=10157
with or without that machined lip but im not sold on anything as of yet. here is a pic of my jeep at bottom.

My plan is wheels, 35's and teraflex 3 inch with full flex arms.

Nice Jeep mert I like those rims but you sure you want to go with an 18"? Tires are gonna be expensive at the size. You getting those local or having a package deal shipped up?

Yeah........remember that shipping will eat you/us alive. If at all possible try and find something you like local. There were all kinds of tires and wheels I wanted looking at catalogs, but wasn't about to pay damn near twice as much to get them up here. I settled on some that I liked, both wheels AND tires, and drove to Anchorage to buy them. If you can't find any in Juneau, you might even save a little to have some shipped down from Anchortown. I just paid damn near $30. for a little box that weighed 7 pounds from "Quadrabentmeover.com"......lol
Good Luck.....

Also remember that there are companies that will work with a freight shipper and you can save a ton. I can't remember if it's been mentioned but tonk got front and rear bumpers and rock sliders from LoD shipped through Freight Forwarders. Something like 600lbs of steel shipped to port for $170.

I talked with Discount Tire on here a little while back about prices on 5 BFG KM2s and it'd be crazy to pass the deal up if/when the time comes to do a package tire/rim combo and have it shipped. The closest I came to his prices was on base and it was $80 more PER tire. I won't even tell you what the local businesses had in store for my cornhole on tire prices.

So I would suggest find what you like, scope out your area and then talk to some online places.

yea, i can have stuff shipped to AML in seattle and from Seattle on a barge up to juneau, thats only like $25 per 100lbs. i all ready have them set up.

i was actually thinking 17s and that was the first link i came across, sorry for the confusion. as for local? all we have is a les schwab for wheels and tires. and what they have is really slim.
