border bash car show this weekend at south padre island convention center, will be really great. Will be there, not sure if I'll enter my jeep in the show, I usually do because it's great parking for same price of getting tickets to show. Plus I could always take home a trophy lol, which I already have one when my jeep was nearly stock lol.

Time to bring this thread back to life, how did everyone fair with that artic blast we got last week, how did your jeep do?

My jeep puked some oil the first morning we had 20 degree weather, oil puked from the oil filter seal. Also woke up this tuesday to a dead battery, I guess the cold weather took the last of the life outta the battery. So now carrying around a rechargeable booster to start my jeep, no money till friday and waiting till sunday to buy my battery at sears. Why till sunday? Because friends and family event and that means an extra 10% off the battery.

 

my jeep did outstanding in the freeze....thank God i replaced my old batt.with a optima red top a year ago...alot of my buddies were having batt.issue's..how is everybody doing out here in south texas..?

 

Yeah I didn't have problems till mostly after the freezing nights, got myself a Diehard Platinum this past sunday at work, they were on sale for 189.99 plus my discount, plus the special savings night discount and then I had about 15 bucks saved in points, so I only paid 153.** after taxes, i think I did good and im glad I waited till sunday, even though lugging around the booster was getting fun, no thoughts of my Jeep being stolen at the Mall if they cant start it lol.

Otherwise great weather now, and tomorrow im heading out to the Army Surplus Store, anyone been there before? I haven't so im hoping the trip aint a bust as far as pricing and variety. Unless someone knows of another option down here? Im looking to get a Mortar Shell Ammo Tube Case, and looking for a pelican case or large storage box.
