I'm not from the valley but just joined the "Jeep" family! I've always driven a truck so I'm excited to see what a Jeep has to offer. How often do y'all get together? It would be awesome to meet up with y'all, haven't done anything special to my jeep YET because of low funds but would like to get some ideas from seeing other jeeps. I live a couple of hours north of the valley in Freer/Agua Dulce.

We meet up every couple of weeks, we will be going to a benefit carshow at Mercedes Benz in San Juan on july 22nd. It's the Cruz-gaitan benefit show, check Facebook. So far it's about 5 of us jeepers going and we are already planing our next beach run.

Default Need to sell '85 CJ-7 near McAllen/Mission for a good price

I have an '85 CJ-7 which is absolutely loaded with mods (I've spent over $25,000 on it). It has an ugly (I like it) dessert sand camoflauge rattle can paint job, but it has been updated in all the important areas.

I bought it from one of the guys who invented the 'Ox-Lockers' so it has fantastic selectable lockers, both front and rear. The 4.2 Liter engine was professionally rebuilt, as was the T-5 transmission. I put the Howell fuel injection system on it, dual batteries, DUI distributor, Master Craft seats, etc. It has a three core radiator, A/C newly installed, 17" rims with mud terrains and about a 4" lift.

This thing has torque like you wouldn't believe. In fact, the only other upgrade I had left for the future was to put some custom made Tom Woods CV drive shafts on it because I'm concerned that the current torque will be too much for these factory shafts.

I'm mad because I haven't been able to take it rock climbing or anything since I fixed it up, but it's hard to predict when a wife is going to hit you with divorce papers...

I need to get $7500 out of it and, yes I know I'm going to instantly lose $20K... I could also part it out and get more than that, but I refuse to do it. The seats alone cost me over $700. The a/c was over a grand. If you're truly interested, give me a call/text at 956 638-4820 or email at hbcoxok@yahoo.com because I need to free up some cash before this weekend...Thanks! HBC
