heading to the island tomorrow (saturday). will more than likely be out there sometime after 4pm. going to bbq with some friends some where at access point 6

 

ended up going to boca chica beach to play some football and drink some beers..

anyways.. have any of you guys regeared your JK's? i need to get some 5.13 but don't know of any good places down here. prices please.

I'm gonna be in Rio Grande City visiting the in-laws 7/5 thru 7/11 and will be going to Boca Chica beach for some surf fishing. Also wana hit the Mansfield Jetties north of South Padre.

Did Homeland Security give you any crap either going or coming from Boca Chica?? I've heard some horror stories about them being assholes down there.

 

nah, i had my top off and doors on. the only thing i had in my jeep was a black box with recovery gear (just in case my friends got stuck, lol). the border patrol just asked me what was in it. they only stop you on the way back into town. they will drive up and down the beach though. just remember, you can not go on the dunes, they will give out tickets if found doing so.

 

These are a few pics of my jeep on the beach (south padre island). If you come down don't be suprised when other jeep owners don't wave... (either they're ***holes or jealous of your jeep). I think only 1 guy returned my wave. As for Boca Chica, never been there and don't hear much about that place, so why bother.

 

Yeah I'll be working tomorrow. They have cut our hours a whole bunch. I have not had the opportunity to work with Nuri lately, but I think she's on tomorrow also. My truck is only 2 wheel drive so probably not. It's too front end heavy with that cummins diesel engine.
