I got a 09 jk x and im getting a 6 in lift and 35's i need new gears but am unsure whether to get the 5.13 or the 5.38 any suggestions?

 

6" of lift is a lot for 35" tires, but if you don't go bigger than 35" tires 5.13 gears would do you fine.

 

it was just brought to my attention that ill need to replace my DS is this true and to what?

 

Yeah, just about any lift over 3 to 3.5" will eventually require a drive shaft swap. I have seen some lifts that came with drive shafts, I guess it's just depends on what you want to pay up front, but eventually you will need drive shafts especially with a 6" lift.

YES! DO NOT DO a 6" lift all you need if 3" and flat fenders. It'll look like you have a 6", especially if you get a stubby bumper!

well i heard about the 4" tera but havent heard much on the 3", and bumper i got a rampage front bumper and rugged ridge rear bumper would that still work for 35s?

 

Yea, look at the 3" Full-Traction premium lift. It's a great ride on the road and great articulation on the trails. It's no long arm kit, but unless you plan to rock crawl ALL the time the 3" premium lift will be great!

 

Yes, but the TeraFlex 3" will yield about 4" in actual height. Their 4" will yield about 5" in height. I think TeraFlex offers a kit with drive shafts or you could find a local shop to build some to custom size.
I have Full Traction 4" springs and it yields a pretty true 4". They also make great lifts and their new bushings are quiet and maintenance free.
