I live in San Antonio and picked up my JK Rubicon on 11/19. I ordered in August.

 

I'm in the same boat. I'm living just North of Houston (The Woodlands), and I'm not sure of any good spots. I've heard Spring Creek, but I haven't made it there yet. But I will be looking to go soon!

 

My Roomate and I just bought our 2 door jk and have been looking for places to go off roading. The only places that we have been is Galveston. Let me know if yall want to get together.

are you guys at sh!t rock beach over on pelican island?

 

are you guys at sh!t rock? If west beach is called that then yes. Where is pelican Island at any way? Is it a good spot to go off roading?

 

if you go east down broadway take a left onto 51st. go through the stop light and over a draw bridge and you will be on pelican island. watch your speed because there is a college there with cops. the island is a giant dredge spoil, so the left side has mud pits, small dirt hills and trails. i have never been back there myself with exception to a keg party once, but in school that was the place to go if you had a 4x4. if you follow the main road you will see dirt roads on left hand side that lead you into the trails.

 

if you go out there i would definately bring a buddy incase somebody needs to be pulled out, i have heard that the mud can get pretty nasty out there.
