Day 1 video is now online. It covers from Marfa through Pinto Canyon to Riudosa, then over to Guale campsites at Big Bend Ranch State Park ...

 

I've been down to Big Bend 3 times in the last 5 years, but it's always been to the national park. I get the itch every single January as my typical trip is usually over President's Day. I'm always coming from the other direction (DFW), and although I have once taken the drive from Terlingua to Presidio, I've never had the time in my schedule to venture into the state park. Day 1 video was fun to watch.

Day 3 is now online. This was mostly backtracking and lots of pavement to move from the ranch to the national park ...

 

I didn't know the national park was starting to take advanced reservations for backcountry sites. That's great news! It stinks to drive so far and then hope you can secure a site that isn't an hour back off the road. I had one trip where I was happy to take one of those sites vs. no site at all.
