The dealership got it in the shop today but no call. I will call tomorrow to find out what the situation is. The service tech said they may warranty the clutch too, since the low mileage. Works for me! I will update you all again tomorrow with what they say.

Jack, I will cross my fingers for your warranty hook up if you do the same for me

Thanks again for the help this past weekend. You guys were great. Mike and I really did have a great time!

Fortunately, I got a call from the dealer earlier - it sounds like they are going to warranty the steering knuckle or ball joint as of now, and also they are going to warranty my rear locker solenoid which was defective.

The other good part is no matter what they replace on the axle, they will have to realign the vehicle as part of the install, so I get a free alignment out of it assuming they cover it.

Hold your breath for me on getting it covered.
Glad to hear you got a little good news out of the deal... I don't have much faith in the warranty right now, but good stories make me feel a little better should I have to use it.

Speaking of warranty, anyone had any luck getting a dealer to warranty a windshield. Turned on my defroster today and within 2 minutes I had a crack coming from above the defroster.

Thats something they won't warranty most likely. It's not their fault you turned your heater up too high

I decided to just ignore it until the spring. I'd probably just crack it again...

OK here is the latest:

The shop said they should be done by tomorrow morning and that it is only the clutch. They also said it should all be covered under warranty so... sweet for me! My wife and I will probably go up Friday to pick it up. We will probably have a welcome home party when we get it her back! Haha.

I took a trip out to TN to look at houses and that went well. We just put a bid on a house. It is pretty sweet, has a great 20x20 storage shed with garage door, that would make a great place for a install party...I have some work to do to make the jeep a little more sand worthy.

that's fantastic news, i was beginning to wonder. what the hell takes so long? i guess if they are paying, they can take their time, right? glad to hear it.

good that things turned out well in TN. entertaining the idea of an install party - i like it, apparently your wife has forgiven you.

great news! lucky for you they covered it.

my jeep is still in the shop too - damn parts finally came in today. unfortunately, the rear locker they ordered came in broken. so now they gotta order another one, and wouldnt ya know there is apparently only one in the entire nation and its in milwaukee. I told them to get the ball joint on and align it so I can drive it and we'll deal with the locker later. So hopefully I'll have mine back tomorrow or Friday.

Good luck on the house purchase - hate to see you leave OK.
