lol. Yeah I have a stock pile of texas beer that I've been collecting when I go to texas for work.

I think I'll survive though, thanks for the offer Besides, I'll have done most of my vacationing by the time you guys get there. I plan on going up the weekend before you all are coming.

And thanks for the trout offer - I just hope I have a chance to eat one. Not a huge fish eater, but I do love me some good fish. I just hope I can manage to spend some time hanging out with you all before the wife overrules.

Dinner, Friday night. Everyone. Even the wife. I hear there will be plenty of blackened trout. And I'm bringing my world famous potato salad. Okay, it's maybe not so famous, but it's quite good. And I'll bring a six pack for you, Jack, for being a great sport and letting us camp out at your place. I wish I could still find that Bricktown Brewery Copperhead Ale. That was some good beer. And you're worth it, Jack!

Yeah I'm not sure if we'll be around for dinner friday night -- depends on if the family wants to go hit the fireworks at duck creek..

We'll just have to play it by ear, since its a family tradition that I cannot break if they wanna go.

BUT, that being said, you all will certainly be able to party without me..either on our beach or over at hogans or behind the dam. It'll be 4th of July so everyone will be partying everywhere in Disney. There should be no shortage of fun.

Me too..everybody pray for no more rain! I checked and the lake is pretty full right now (flood pool is at 60%), which itself means nothing to us at this point. However, it gets much more full they may have to start running the flood gates. If the flood gates are open, no wheeling for us!

Lake levels here: http://www.swt-wc.usace.army.mil/PENS.lakepage.html

Gate Changes:

* Friday, 20 Jun 08 at 10:45 a.m.
o Pool Elevation = 751.49 feet.
o New Gate Discharge was 679 cubic feet per second.
o New Gate Settings:
+ 1 Tainter Gate open 2.00 FEET
+ 1 Tainter Gate open 0.00 FEET
* Thursday, 19 Jun 08 at 9:00 a.m.
o Pool Elevation = 751.53 feet.
o New Gate Discharge was 5118 cubic feet per second.
o New Gate Settings:
+ 1 Tainter Gate open 15.00 FEET
+ 1 Tainter Gate open 0.00 FEET
* Wednesday, 18 Jun 08 at 3:00 p.m.
o Pool Elevation = 751.97 feet.
o New Gate Discharge was 16146 cubic feet per second.
o New Gate Settings:
+ 3 Tainter Gates open 15.00 FEET
+ 1 Tainter Gate open 0.00 FEET
* Wednesday, 18 Jun 08 at 8:30 a.m.
o Pool Elevation = 752.09 feet.
o New Gate Discharge was 21888 cubic feet per second.
o New Gate Settings:
+ 4 Tainter Gates open 15.00 FEET
+ 1 Tainter Gate open 0.00 FEET

You can see the discharge has gone down from 4 gates back down to 1 gate, which is good..hopefully we get no more rain and they can discharge normally like that.

Default Plan B...

If we can't wheel in the spillway, plan B.... drink a lot of beer and grill fish Friday! Then go to SMORR Saturday...? Are any of the trails open at all when the spillway is full?

Trails are always open, just no way to get there legally if the flood gates are open. Only other way is on the GRDA service road..and if you get busted its ticket time.

We only have to worry if it rains more..and like I said before, I'll be up there all week so I'll know what the deal is before that friday comes. I'll probably hit the trails a time or two before you guys come up so I should know the situation fairly well. Thinking of bringing a chainsaw in case we need to do some trimming for our wide ass JKs.
