Looking for help on lift kit

And man, did you ever get a steel on that thing!
Wiredawg was telling me that you picked one up and the price and I was shocked. I would be more than willing to help out if I am not working. Did you get the control arms also? or just the basic 3". I should have introduced myself but with everything else going on I was kind of sidetracked alot. The basic 3" is what I am running along with front and rear adjustable trac bars. I haven't done anything else and it drives great and no problems on the trails. Still running the stock control arms.

Can you beleave it? I was going to wait a few more weeks before buying my lift but when Joel shot me that price it was a no brainer. I have no arms for it yet,the are coming though. My main focus now is wheels and tires,not sure where im going with them yet.

I have been looking for a 2.5" lift myself. Ordered one from Dave on Friday while out of town at a Geek Fest in Collinsville. I get back in town on Monday and Joel finally got back to me on a price. Ah well, parts are already on order, what are ya going to do.

I doubt the liklihood of me getting a lift and 35's on my Jeep, but I'd love to see somebody else do it and maybe lend a hand. It seems there are always 8 million other things that deserve our extra cash when it becomes available. Mods always end up way down the list.

I know that everyone swears by Reuther but not me.... I was in there with a bud helping him look for a JK and 1) the sales guy had no clue what model had what, what the options were, what you could get with it, nothing. 2) Tried to sell a 2008 X Unl. for $26000 with absolutely nothing on it!! Then said that was the lowest price he could go period because they were closing. Tried to get the same no nothing X in at another dealer and the price was then $22000. 3) Went into the parts area and asked if they could order me the Mopar seat kit. Guy tells me there is no seat "kit" and I would have to order all the parts separately. I tell him the first part that I remembered of the part number and said yes there is a seat kit and it is this much. Guy continues to argue until I said grab your book and look. Sure as heck, there is a kit. Then gives me a price that would have made a hooker blush. Asked him about this same lift kit that you got at such a great price and tells me $200 over what Northridge is selling it for. I heard of getting rapped and this guy was trying it all So I walked out and am happy to see a place like that go.

I'm the new guy in the club here in STL so I've kept my mouth shut about the Reuther thing but I've had similar experiences to what SK reports. I went in there to get a replacement dash clip for my lower DayStar panel and they tried to tell me I had to buy a whole new bottom panel to get just one clip.
I've e-mailed Joel numerous times to get prices on things and it's taken him days and in one case over a week to respond to my e-mail. Talking to him in person didn't yeild any better a response. He did try to find a clip for me off a dash piece from a completely diffrent vehicle though.
I'm sad to see any Jeep dealership close, but I never experienced the "World Class Service" so many in MWJT have reported from Reuther. That being said, the parts guys at Royal Gate are even worse.
