Well.. I mentioned it to the wife and she didn't bite my head off, so I think I'm going to be able to make it. What is the plans/schedule? I am not sure if I will be able to leave Friday night, so I might head out there early Saturday AM.

Also, this will be my first time to Disney so I'll need some instructions on how to get there. Like Area-51 I'm a noobie with a slightly modified stocker, so I hope you guys will be patient. For all practical purposes, the JK is still a virgin.

 

Disney is nestled on the east side of the dam for Grand Lake 'O the Cherokees. This is a Big dam (Did I mention that the dam is big? As in a mile wide). And the town is right on the far side. Little town and, if Jack will let us stay at his place, it's a couple minutes from the entry for the wheeling. Even if Jack can't let us stay at his place, I saw some campgrounds there last December. And there's always Hogans, which is where we will probably meet up Saturday morning before heading out to the rocks. You can camp there, if you prefer.

As for the level of crawling--Pretty much all of us are driving our daily drivers. So, the wheeling will be "gentle". And at least a few of use are still pretty inexperienced, so you shouldn't feel like you're going to be left behind because things become too tough.

 

Sorry guys - real busy with work lately and haven't had much time to get on here. Doubt my place will be available, but I plan on being there at least saturday.

ok, so what's the chance that anyone is going to be wheeling Sunday morning?

I don't get back into Tulsa until late Sat pm, but my family will be at the lake that weekend anyway, so could come on up and do some Sunday morning, but I'm not going to make the trip unless any of you think you're going to.

I would offer the yard at our lake house, but we're in a gated community and last time I tried that the neighbors got all worked up about tents in the yard, bla bla bla.

 

I imagine some will still be there sunday. I might be..just can't say for sure. Where is your lake house at?

Oh, and for those who were asking - my dumbshit uncle will be up at the lake that weekend with his family so I'm not even sure if I'm going to stay there. I'd rather not deal with him. Hence why I might only be up there Saturday. I might just crash/camp with one of you or figure something else out. I'll make a gameday decision most likely..

RecsueX, where are you staying friday - at a hotel or camping? If you're camping I might head up after work and throw back some cold ones with you and your buddy.

 

HAHA sounds like u have a similar uncle to me.. we have a game we play with new additions to the family (wives and such) that we play at christmas.. we do what we can to leave them alone in the same room as the uncle and let them enjoy his company!!! oh the conversations!
