OK bs
No issues with the dealer today. Drove right up, verified my appointment and handed over my spare key. Walked around the showroom a bit. Drooled a bit over a Viper "Final Edition", drooled a bit more over a Silver Rubicon Unlimited with a 4" Mopar lift and 35" ProComp tires and rims.
Well, it's official, I have C-gussets
A fellow forum member (speak up if you want credit, otherwise I wouldn't want to unncessily send people your way
) welded them for me on Tuesday evening. Took us about 4 hours, we took it nice and slow and plently of breaks to talk Jeep.
Well today I finally removed some of the surface rust, and welder flack and applied spray on Rustoleum undercoating. It is now officially done.
I still have the sleeves to do, but I am waiting until I can get some welder practice in and can at least help, if not do all of, the welding. That will probably be a November or December task.

Awesome. Did you go with the ORE C Gussets or the Teraflex ones? Pics?
EDIT: Nvm. I guess if I'd paid attention long enough to your signature, I would've seen that it was TF Gussets

Yeah, it's the TeraFlex ones. For $135 from Northridge I picked up the Sleeve & Gusset kit. That didn't seem like a bad deal at all.
I don't have any pictures. This evening when all the kids are in bed, I'll see if I can get good enough lighting to take some pics.

No, our schedules didn't line up the best. I've been insanely busy at work, and in need of a vehicle, and it would be several weeks before my schedule cleared up enough so that I could get it to him.
Someone else actually fell in my lap and we were able to do it during the evening, which worked out a lot better for my schedule.

I'm glad I could help out. I by no means want to say I am a "welder," but I guess I would say I am an novice. While some of the welds looked great there were a few "dog turds on a pipe" that I had to go back and spread out.
I thought is was interesting that the more tired we got the better the welds were.
Who knows? Let me know how they hold up, and I would be interested in helping with the sleeves.

When I get back from SMORR we can start talking about the sleeves. It may be November before I'll have time in my schedule.
P.S., the brake line is also holding up well
Here is a picture of my gussets.

The welding actually came out really nice, don't let the picture fool you. The reason they look all lumpy in the picture is because of the spray on undercoating I applied, it is supposed to have a "rubberizing" texture for sound deadening purposes. Not that sound deadening matters to my axles, but its undercoating and a rust blocker, thats all that matters
