Anyone know where to purchase a rear stinger bar or know anyone that has built one ? It slides into the rear hitch mount and bends upward to protect the spare. I think I could build one if I could just find a good picture of one Thanks

Why are you backing into things?

I was going to ask you what your thoughts are on lockers...brand wise. I know you're good at researching and knowing stuff like that.

Yeah, but in a normal year at that time it'd be a great trip.
Was gonna do it a few years back with some guys off here, but I got a guy fired and had to work. He should have been fired loooooong before.

LOL nahhhh just added armor
Asking about lockers on here is like playing Russian roulette

depends if you want air, electric or cable actuated or a auto locker
air lines melt and if they leak it kicks the locker to "open" and could leave you in a bad predicament, most of the time the O-Ring in the housing gets a split in it from metal shavings, always carry a rebuild kit with you to save time and trouble. air compressor constantly runs unless you have a switch to turn it off/on.

electric ----ECTED Electrically Activated Lockers, I have researched these and seems to be ok unless the relay or magnet screws up and then it is time for a tear down , wires melt

cable locker ----sometimes takes a bit to get it unlocked, cable could bind/break, takes some time to adjust during install to get it to lock/unlock correctly.

auto locker-----most people like the selectable locker and I don't know much about these other than U-joint has an aussie locker and really likes it.

when i ordered mine I researched everything, considered what I wanted and how I wanted to spend my hard earned cash. I went with an OX cable locker, they make their Locker out of the same strength material that the ring and pinion are made of. I already had on board air when i made my choice so that wasn't an issue if I wanted an air-locker. although the ARB air locker was at the top of my list ( among others ) and are dependable and strong also. I talked to my friend that owns the offroad shop several times over months of discussion before I ordered and we kept coming back to the OX. he installed the cable locker on most of the rock buggies he builds and 80% of his customers rigs, but he has installed electric and air lockers also. One of my concerns was that I wasn't going to tear down the front and rear end to do inspections after each wheeling trip since my rig is like most "street jeeps" (daily driver and depended on to get to and from work and my kids events)and not a dedicated rock crawler rig/buggie/trailer queen. Nor am i sponsored or get free parts so everything is out of pocket which sucks because I would like to be able to tear everything down but I don't have the cash flow to purchase cases of gear oil and silicone If you would like to talk more in depth about this it might be better in a PM since the bashing i have seen in other threads about lockers because bary booho has this and that brand and others have that and this brand Dynatrac had a good post about lockers on here before the thread got violent and bias. I will try to find it.
I have the cable locker, Mark has the electric locker, u-joint has the aussie locker so you could ask them how they like theirs also. I imagine some okie has a air locker but I don't know anyone right off hand.
