OK bs
They found my camera! I received an e-mail from Canon with the cost to have it fixed: $236, which is quite a bit cheaper than I was thinking (my WAG being $375). I should have it back in a week.

And, before I started this ordeal I had also been thinking of buying another camera--the Canon 7D. My friend who went to Colorado with me (Ray) had one and it is an awesome camera. I really hated using my old Digital Rebel as a back-up camera when my 30D crapped out--way too slow for the way I shoot. And I like having a second camera with another lens that I can pick-up rather than swap out lenses. Only trouble is I was planning to sell some investments to pay for it. And that's maybe not such a good idea right now.

I didn't know you were having camera troubles... but now that you have a solution, I rejoice with you!

Watching Top Gear USA and Arlene Tur (Torchwood) is driving the big star, little car. She mentioned she drives a Wrangler normally. When asked how she thought she did, she replied that she was probably under Buzz Aldrin. And Adam deadpans back, "Probably the best day of his life."
Arlene got the fastest speed ever, BTW.
