I almost dont want to say it because I'm afraid I'll jinx myself but here goes... I think my Jeep is finally DW free!!! I'v been without it for a month and a half which has been hell, but if all really truely is fixed it was worth the wait. I ended up replacing all four ball joints and the knuckle end of my drag link. After I got everything buttoned up and torqued to specs I took it for a spin without the SS on. I drove over a particularly rough bridge not to far from my house that has initiated DW EVERY time I've driven on it and there wasn't even a hint of a shimmy! My dad had everything apart, old joints out, and new joints in before I ever even got home so all that was left was putting her back together and a test drive. Since 90% of the work was done before I arrived it left me with an extra day to kill so I decided to bed line my rims. Turned out pretty good for a first timer not really knowing what to expect.

Rims turned out nice did you use OEM parts or aftermarket on the DW fix?

Thanks! I hope they hold up and dont chip/peel on me for awhile. It was really pretty easy except for painting the imprinted JEEP logo's. At first glance they seem to be a decent size but when your holding a paint brush to it they are pretty dang little lol. I used OEM for drag link, ball joints from ***************. I didn't want the crappy OEM and couldn't afford the prosteers at the time. They were middle of the line on price and both uppers and lowers are greasable. I searched for reviews but didn't have much luck so I guess I'll be the guinea pig.

And while they may not really do any damage to the front end, what I read up about it all said the same - it almost feels like it would. Which is why I figured it's better to spend the extra amount to get selectable lockers when the time comes. I have enough front end issues to contend with - I'd sure not want to compound it any more
You downin' on the Aussie

Nope. Like I said, the Aussie's got very good reviews and they perform awesome off-road, but the drawback from I read was the ratcheting/clicking noise when taking tight turns - some people report that as being an unnerving noise, others say it's not a big deal. I personally prefer selectable lockers . I want to be in control of when I to snap a shaft

I think the racheting noise is the broken yoke slapping the steering knuckles
