So we will sit down and have a talk for a while about it, but whatever i spend on the lift and the few other items i am about to buy, i am going to pay double that amount at the same time for the jeep payment, so the jeep will ALMOST be paid off fully! He should be happy about that!
When I first got my JK he told me that I shouldn't take it off road, that I should by a "beater", so I don't trash up my new Jeep, LOL.
With time, tough, he has grown to see that you can take a Jeep off-road without ruining it. With time, he has also grown to realize that my Jeep is my hobby.
My father was a mechanic, and I appreciate the fact that, in the end, I feel like this has brought me a little closer to him.

Let's hope not.
But, I do have that lifetime warranty, and even my service manager (when I made that statement), assured me that even if it Sid start leaking, and they had to fix it 1,000 more times, that it would all be covered...
So at least, it would seem, I am dealing with a pretty up-and-up service manager.
You know, despite being 28 (and married with 2 kids, and haven't lived at home in 10 years), my father is very similar. He has been "supportive" in my efforts to modify my Jeep, in so much as he's always lent a hand or a tool to help. But, he never really "got it".

The Lexus dealer on memorial between westren and santa fe in Edmond had a lifted JK on 35's (green), shortly after they got a hummer H1 in (military style) and parked the 2 next to eachother at the front of the lot where everyone could see. Needless to say, 2 days later JK was gone and Hummer was still there. It may still be there.
